Prof. Ilker Sengul, MD graduated from Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine (Medicine in English), Ankara, Turkey, in 2000 and the Department of General Surgery, Ministry of Health-Ankara Education and Research Hospital, Ankara, Turkey, in 2006. He was also the Founder Chair of the Department of Surgical Sciences and Department of General Surgery, Ministry of Health-Golbasi-Hasvak State Hospital, Ankara, Turkey, in 2006. He was at the Department of Gastroenterological Surgery, Ministry of Health-Republic of Turkey High Specialization Hospital, Ankara, Turkey, in 2006. He worked with Prof. Hubert Vermeersch, MD, Head and Neck, Otorhinolaryngology, and Plastic, Esthetic&Reconstructive Surgeon who performed the first face transplantation in Belgium, at the Department of Head and Neck Surgery, Faculteit Geneeskunde, Universitair ZiekenhuisGhent, BE9000 Ghent, Belgium and with Dr. Tom Vauterine at the Department of Otorhinolaryngology/ENT, AZ Sint-Jan Hospital AV, BE8000 Brugge, Belgium, and with Prof. Jean François Henry, MD, The Past President of ESES, at the Department of Endocrine Surgery, Faculté de Médecine, Université de Marseille, Hôpitaux De Marseille-Hôpitaux De La Timone, FR13385 Marseille, France in 2008. He has been the founder chair of the Division of Endocrine Surgery and the Department of General Surgery, and he has also been the founder and vice dean of Giresun University Faculty of Medicine, Giresun, Turkey, since 2009. He is an active member of the critical national and international societies of Endocrine Surgery, such as ETA, ESES, BAETS, ASGBI, INMSG, ESSR, and EAES. He has also been interested in lecturership. He was at the Department of Surgery, Facultad de Medicina, Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha, ES13071 Albacete, Spain, for teaching mobility in terms of Endocrine Surgery: thyroid, both theoretically and practically with performing and explaining thyroidectomy in the operating room in 2015. Recently, he was at the Department of General Surgery, Lékařská Fakulta, Ostravska Univerzita V Ostrave, CZ70300 Ostrava, Czech Republic, as an invited Visiting Professor by Prof. Anton Pelikán, DrSc and Prof. Petr Vávra, DrSc in 2019.
He serves as Editor-in-Chief of Asian J Res Rep Endocrinol; Editor of Sanamed, Serbia; Section Editor of CLINICS (in Elsevier); Review Editor of Frontiers; Editor-in-Chief of Cerasus J Med editorial board member, advisory board member, and reviewer in many scientific medical journals. He has performed primarily thyroid and neck-central, lateral, and posterior cervical lymph nodes and parotid US, Doppler US, and elastography with US-guided-FNA and other interventional techniques, such as US-guided-FNA-Tg, US-guided-FNA-calcitonin, US-guided-FNA-PTH and by himself since 2001, before the surgical procedures in the field of Neck-Endocrine Surgery.
Prof. Dr. Erol Eğrioğlu has been conducting academic research on fuzzy inference systems and artificial neural networks for time series forecasting. He has published over 100 papers and more than 100 papers in these areas. He received his PhD degree from Hacettepe University, Department of Statistics in 2006. He has been working as a Professor at Giresun University, Department of Statistics since 2015. Prof. Dr. Erol Eğrioğlu worked as a visiting researcher at the Marketing Analytics and Forecasting Research Center at Lancaster University, England, which is shown as the best centre in the world in the field of forecasting for 7 months in the 2019-2020 academic year. He is currently a visiting researcher at the Marketing Analytics and Forecasting Research Centre, Lancaster University, UK. According to a research published in 2020 and 2021, he ranked in the top 2% of the world's most influential scientists. According to the 2021 survey, Prof. Dr. Erol Eğrioğlu's world ranking is 266784 and Turkey's ranking is 629 according to the composite score. Prof. Dr. Erol Eğrioğlu's ranking among 253,359 artificial intelligence researchers in the world was 4,094.

Cerasus Journal Of Medicine is published electronically 3 times a year and accepts original English-language manuscripts in in all fields of medicine and related health sciences. The journal intended to publish original medical scientific papers regarding the priority based on the significance, and timeliness of the findings. However, since the audience of the Journal is not limited to any subspeciality in a wide variety of medical disciplines, the papers focusing on the technical details of a given medical subspeciality may not be evaluated for publication.

Editorial policies and Peer Review Process
Cerasus Journal of Medicine is a peer review journal. The aim of the peer review policy is to maintain the objectivity, transparency, and quality of the Journal at the highest. The reviewer database (list) is frequently updated to meet the needs of the Journal.
Policies on Conflict of Interest, Human and Animal rights, and Informed Consent
Authors are expected to declare and sign all kinds of documents regarding their manuscript steps if required (like conflict of interest, human an animal rights, informed consent, etc). For all the studies both conducted on human beings and animals as well as drug researches, ethical committee approval should be taken and a signed copy of "Ethical Committee Approval" should be send to the journal. The manuscripts will not be published without a copy of the “ethical committee approval. Authors should obey the rules in "Helsinki Declaration", "Good Medical Practice Guidelines", and "Good Laboratories Practice Guidelines".
The role of journal editors in reviewing and approving material that is published
Technical Editor firstly checks if the manuscript is prepared according to the rules of the journal also if all the necessary documents are uploaded to the system (These are: A copy of Ethical Committee Approval for researches, "Contribution Form" signed by all authors, "Copyright Release Form" signed by all authors). And checks also if the manuscript fits to the scope of the journal. If all technical rules are met by the manuscript, the Editorial Process begins.
