İZMİR KÂTİP ÇELEBİ ÜNİVERSİTESİ TIP FAKÜLTESİ ÖĞRENCİLERİNİN COVID-19 ALGISI

Abstract

Amaç: İzmir Kâtip Çelebi Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi öğrencilerinin dönemlere ve çeşitli sosyodemografik özelliklerine göre COVID-19 virüsüne olan algıları arasındaki farklılıkları belirlemektir. Gereç ve Yöntemler: Araştırmanın verileri İzmir Kâtip Çelebi Üniversitesi Tıp fakültesi öğrencilerinden, 2020-2021 güz döneminde çevrimiçi anket yoluyla toplanmıştır. Araştırmaya 126 öğrenci katılmıştır. Araştırmanın sonuçları SPSS 25 programı aracılığıyla analiz edilmiş, sayı-yüzde değerleri sunulmuş ve ki-kare testleri uygulanmıştır. Bulgular: Araştırmada uygulanan testlerin sonuçlarına göre, katılımcıların 67,5% apartman dairesinde, 27,8%’inin yurtta yaşadığı tespit edilmiştir. Katılımcılarda, belirtilen yaşanılan yer bakımından tehlikelilik puanı boyutunda istatiksel olarak anlamlı fark bulunmaktadır. Sonuç: COVID-19 algısının yaşanılan yer ile ilişkisinin olduğu düşünülmektedir. Bu algıya sebep olan altta yatan nedenin araştırılması önerilmektedir.

COVID-19 PERCEPTION OF IZMIR KATIP CELEBI UNIVERSITY FACULTY OF MEDICINE STUDENTS

Abstract

Objective: To determine the differences between the perceptions of Izmir Katip Çelebi University Faculty of Medicine students regarding the COVID-19 virus according to periods and various sociodemographic characteristics. Materials and Methods: The data of the research were collected from Izmir Katip Çelebi University Faculty of Medicine students through an online questionnaire in the 2020-2021 fall semester. 126 students participated in the research. The results of the research were analyzed through the SPSS 25 program, number-percentage values were presented and chi-square tests were applied. Results: According to the results of the tests applied in the research, it was determined that 67.5% of the participants lived in an apartment and 27.8% lived in a dormitory. Statistically there is a significant difference in the degree of the danger in terms of the place of residence of the participants. Conclusion: It is thought that the perception of COVID-19 has a relationship with the place of residence. It is recommended to investigate the underlying cause of this perception.
