Objective: The objective of this study is to gain knowledge about a new coronavirus Covis-19 epidemic that threatens public health. Method: “SARS-CoV-2” and “Coronavirus” keywords were searched in the Pubmed, Web of Science and Google Scholar databases and in the Google search engine; relevant articles were studied. Findings: This virus, called SARS-CoV-2, is a subspecies of a large family of viruses. But only seven, including the new virus, can infect human. The coronavirus outbreak that occurred in Wuhan, China, causing the disease called Covid-19, spread to almost all countries of the world, and caused a high number of deaths in a very short time. Conclusion: As of May 2020, there are no antiviral drug that treat the disease. Multidisciplinary studies are important to prevent information pollution about Covid-19 outbreak and to provide correct precaution and treatment. The data obtained from the researches in the wildlife will detect the viruses that may cause possible human and animal epidemics in the future.
