Abstract

Schwannomas are
tumors that originate from Schwann cells in the nerve sheath. They most
commonly manifest in the head, neck and extremities and rarely can arise from
the retroperitoneum. Here, we reported a case of an incidentally detected
retroperitoneal schwannoma in a 34-year-old female and discussed the current
techniques for diagnosis and treatment methods of schwannomas.
