Evidence For Five And Seven-Coordinate Uranium

Abstract

The infrared spectra of complex compounds of uranyl chloride-thiocyanate and -nitrate with thiazoles and oxazoles are reported. Complexes formed with the nitrate salt appear to have coordination number seven, while those formed with the chloride and thiocyanate have coordinat- ion number five.
