Cobalt (II) nickel (II) and copper (II) salts reacted with a-benzoinoxime in polar and non-polar solvents to give mono-, di-, and trimetallated porducts via replacement of hydroxy hydrogen followed by electrophilic substitution on organic moiety, bond cleavages and bond formation. The mechanism of the reactions were studied. The structures were confirmed by analytical dala, IR, UV and mass spectra.
