Abstract

Some polyoxo lactones prepared by condensing polyetyleneglycoles vith their correpsonding diaciddichlorides in satisfactory yields.
In order to investigate their solvating ability for cations in aprotic media we al- so examined the effect to polyoxo lactones on optical spectra of a- (2, 4-dinitrophenyl) actophenone in the presence of N(C2H5)3 in THF.
Results vere found in accordance vith observations on Cyclicpolyoxo compounds of similar nature reported earlier.
