Abstract
The Semen M ountains is situated in the south of the Bolu in the north-w est A natolia. Its northern slopes are under the effects of the Oceanic clim ate while th e Southern slopes is under the influence of the M editerranean clim ate xvith a less rain and cold. The v a st p a rt of th e study area has forestrial form ations, instead in th e small p a rt of th e area the grassland vegetation pre-
vails.
