Some Notes on the Nomenclature of Lepidoptera

Abstract

This paper is composed of three parts. The first part deals with the species-gronp names of Lepidoptera, v.hiçh are originally established in the same nominal genera. in accordance with the code these names are replaced by the junior synonyms of taxa, or failing such synonyms, by new replacement names. - The second part deals with the true publication date of Gerhard’s “Versuch einer Monographie der europaischen Schmetterlingsarten Thecla. Polyommatus9 T^ycaena9 Nemeobius als Beitrag zur Schmetterlingskunde, 1850-1853” and the speciçs, described in this work. In the third part of this paper, the taxonomic status of thegenus Roeşlerstammia Zeller, 1839 has been revised with its type-designation and the species, which are currently included.
