A PHYTOSOCIOLOGICAL RESEARCH ON THE SYLVATIC VEGETATION OF ÇANKIRI, ÇORUM AND SUNGURLU

Abstract

This study was carried out on the syivatic vegetation in the north-east part of the perip- heral zcne of the Central Anatolia. The vegetation which is nnder the effective control of a semi arid-very cold type of Mediterranean climate was analyzed by the three dimensional erdi- naticn technigue based on the BRAUN"BLANQÜET approach. The associations deseribed in the area were inciuded îu the cîass Quercetea ilicis of Mediterranean origin and in the alliance Quercion anatolicae of the class Quercetea pubescentis regarding their ecologic and floristic pecu- larities.
