Genç Yüzücülerin Covid-19 Salgını Deneyimlerinin Esenlik Düzeyleri Üzerindeki Etkisi

Abstract

Amaç: Bu çalışmanın amacı, genç yüzücülerin Covid-19 salgını kapanma sürecinde yaşadıkları kişisel ve spor deneyimlerinin algılanan esenlik seviyeleri üzerindeki etkilerini araştırmaktır
Yöntem: Kişisel bilgi formu ve Algılanan Esenlik Ölçeği 15-19 yaş aralığında yer alan 169 (92 erkek, 77 kadın) yüzme sporcusuna online olarak uygulanmıştır. Sporcuların bireysel özelliklerinin ve salgın sürecinde yaşadığı deneyimlerin esenlik boyutları üzerinde nasıl bir etki oluşturduğunu belirlemek için çoklu doğrusal regresyon analizleri yapılmıştır.
Bulgular: Araştırma sonuçlarına göre, esenlik boyutlarını etkileme potansiyeline sahip olan üç değişken bulunmuştur. Bunlar arasından en yüksek etki gücüne sahip olan, sporcuların havuz antrenmanı yapamama süresinin fiziksel esenlik, duygusal esenlik, sosyal esenlik ve psikolojik esenlik puanları üzerinde negatif yönde ve anlamlı yordama gücüne sahip olduğu bulunmuştur. Evde yaşayan kişi sayısının ise fiziksel esenlik üzerinde etkili olduğu gözlenmiştir. Ayrıca, evde kalma süresinin uzunluğu da entelektüel esenlik üzerinde belirleyici rol oynamaktadır.
Sonuç: Genel olarak, sporcuların Covid-19 salgını kısıtlamalarında yaşadıkları deneyimler algılanan esenlik seviyelerini etkilemiştir. Sporcuların zorlayıcı salgın koşullarıyla daha iyi başa çıkabilmesi adına gerekli psikolojik desteğin verilmesi için programlar hazırlanması yararlı olacaktır.
