Geriatrik Diyabetli Hastalarda Diyabetik Stres ve Depresyonun Değerlendirilmesi

Abstract

Amaç: Bu çalışma geriatrik diyabetikli hastalarda diyabete bağlı distres ve depresyon düzeylerini belirlemek amacıyla yapıldı.
Yöntemler: Tanımlayıcı tipteki bu araştırma, Kars’ta bir devlet hastanesinin endokrin ve iç hastalıkları polikliniklerinde Kasım 2020-Mart 2021 tarihleri arasında yapılmıştır. Araştırma örneklem kriterlerini karşılayan 200 hasta ile gerçekleştirilmiştir.
Bulgular: Hastaların diyabet bağlı distres ve depresyon toplam puan ortalamalarının yüksek olduğu belirlenmiştir.
Sonuç: Depresyon ve distres arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı ve pozitif bir ilişki bulunmuştur.

Evaluation of Diabetic Stress and Depression in Patients with Geriatric Type 2 Diabetes

Abstract

Objective: This study was conducted to determine the levels of distress and depression due to diabetes in elderly diabetic patients.
Methods: This descriptive study was conducted in endocrine and internal diseases polyclinics of a state hospital in between November 2020 and March 2021. The study was carried out with 200 patients who met the sampling criteria.
Results: It was determined that the diabetes-related distress and depression total score averages of the patients were high.
Conclusion: A statistically significant and positive relationship was found between depression and stress.
