Abstract

According to Social Structure of Accumulation SSA theory, capitalist development is characterized by long swings of economic expansion and contraction of about fifty years in duration. SSA theory seeks to explain these long waves. Four successive waves are spatialization. The transformation of labor process is a defining feature of each SSA. The focus of SSA theory is on the institutional arrangements that facilitating the accumulation of capital. The aim of this article is explaining substantially spatialization wave. Spatialization involves the spatial restructuring of production process. Job insecurity, flexibility, deindustrialization and globalization of production process are fundamental features of the spatialization. Spatialization is accompanied by technocratic controls, which involves the use of computers, information technology and technological expertise and direct the labor process across spatially distant networks of organizations.

Üretimin Mekânsal Kalıplarının Değişmesi ve Emek Piyasası: Birikimin Toplumsal Yapısı Teorisi Çerçevesinden Bir Bakış

Year 2013, Volume: 3 Issue: 38, 57 - 76, 01.01.2013
