COVID-19 aşılarının etkinlikleri ile çocuk ve adölesanlarda, gebeler ve postpartum dönemdeki kadınlarda, ileri yaştaki yetişkinlerde aşı uygulamaları

Year 2021, Volume: 1 Issue: 2, 33 - 42, 30.12.2021

Abstract

Pandeminin
getirdiği sosyal ve ekonomik boyuttaki zorluklar da
eklenince bu hastalıktan korunmak için virüsün genomu
izole edildiğinden itibaren aşı geliştirme çalışmalarına
başlanmıştır. Bu makalede COVID-19’a karşı geliştirilen
öncü aşı adaylarının (BNT162b2, mRNA-1273, GamCOVID-Vac, Ad26.COV2.S, ChAdOx1 nCoV-19, NVXCoV2373, CoronaVac) etkinlikleri ile çocuklar ve
adölesanlar, gebe ve postpartum dönemdeki kadınlar, ileri
yaştaki yetişkinler olarak birtakım spesifik gruplardaki
uygulamalarına ilişkin veriler gözden geçirilmektedir.

Efficacy of COVID-19 vaccines and vaccination applications in children and adolescents, pregnant and postpartum women, and older adults

Year 2021, Volume: 1 Issue: 2, 33 - 42, 30.12.2021

Abstract

COVID-19 (coronavirus disease of 2019) is a disease
caused by the virus that was first seen in China in 2019 and
later named SARS-CoV-2 (severe acute respiratory
syndrome coronavirus-2) and caused a pandemic. The
disease manifests itself with symptoms of varying severity
in individuals. When the social and economic difficulties
brought by the pandemic are added, vaccine development
studies have been started rapidly since the genome of the
virus was isolated in order to protect against this disease.
In this article, the efficacy of leading vaccine candidates
(BNT162b2, mRNA-1273, Gam-COVID-Vac,
Ad26.COV2.S, ChAdOx1 nCoV-19, NVX-CoV2373,
CoronaVac) developed against COVID-19 and data on
their practice in a number of specific groups such as
children and adolescents, pregnant and postpartum
women and older adults, are reviewed.
