In the present study, an insecticide, known as Oberon SC 240 (240 g/ L Spiromesifen) was pulverized on cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.) plant grown in greenhouse conditions. Then the likely effects of the insecticide on morphological and anatomical structures of the plants were examined. The insecticide was applied in the recommended dose (50 ml/da) as stated on the label and two times more than the recommended dose (100 ml/ da). In this study, it was observed that the insecticide caused phytotoxic effects on the morphological structure of the plant. It was determined that the values of cross section layer thickness of leaf and stem in applied groups decreased according to control. It is believed that this negative effect in the anatomical structure can nagatively affect physiological events such as photosynthesis, and transpiration of the plant
Özet. Bu çalışmada, sera koşullarında yetiştirilen hıyar (Cucumis sativus L.) bitkisine, Oberon SC 240 insektisiti (240 g/ L Spiromesifen) uygulanmış ve bu insektisitin hıyar bitkisinin morfolojik ve anatomik yapısı üzerine olası etkileri incelenmiştir. İnsektisit uygulaması etikette önerilen (50 ml/da) ve önerilenin iki katı (100 ml/da) dozlarında yapılmıştır. Bu çalışmada insektisitin bitkinin morfolojik yapısında fitotoksik etkilere neden olduğu gözlenmiştir. Uygulama gruplarının yaprak ve gövde enine kesitte hücre tabaka kalınlık değerlerin kontrole göre azaldığı tespit edilmiştir. Morfolojik ve anatomik yapıdaki bu olumsuz etkinin, bitkinin fotosentez, transpirasyon gibi fizyolojik olaylarını olumsuz yönde etkileyebileceği düşünülmektedir.
