Perspective-taking, which is one of the interpersonal emotion regulation scale sub-dimensions, shows statistically significant difference in terms of age. The “social modeling” and “enhancing positive affect” sub-dimensions of the interpersonal emotion regulation scale show a statistically significant difference in terms of education background of the participants. It was found that, out of the interpersonal emotion regulation sub-dimensions, there was a positive relationship between soothing and generalized anxiety disorder; a negative relationship between social modeling and enhancing positive affect, and depression; a positive relationship between the total score of interpersonal emotion regulation and the total score of psychological resilience. The psychological resilience does not play a regulating role in the effect of the interpersonal emotion regulation on the generalized anxiety disorder and depression.
