COVID-19 Pandemisinin Hemşirelik Öğrencilerinin Hemşirelik Mesleğine İlişkin Endişeleri Ve Tutumları Üzerine Etkisi

Abstract

Bu çalışma Covıd-19 pandemisinin hemşirelik öğrencilerinin hemşirelik mesleğine olan tutumları üzerine etkisini belirlemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Tanımlayıcı araştırma desenindeki çalışma, Haziran 2020- Eylül 2020 tarihleri arasında hemşirelik bölümünde öğrenim gören ve interaktif ortamda araştırmaya gönüllülük esasına dayalı katılan 368 hemşirelik öğrencilerinde yapılmıştır. Veriler çevrimiçi olarak öğrencilerle demografik özelliklere dair sorular ve hemşirelik mesleğine yönelik tutum ölçeğinden oluşan anket formu ile toplanmıştır. Elde edilen veriler sonucunda hemşirelik öğrencilerinin hemşirelik mesleğine yönelik tutumu olumludur. Aynı zamanda Covid-19 pandemisinde hemşirelerin özveriliyle çalıştığını düşünen, alınan hemşirelik eğitiminin salgın farkındalığına etkisi olduğunu belirten ve salgının meslek seçme kararından pişman olamayan öğrencilerin hemşirelik mesleğine yönelik olumlu tutumlarının da arttığı görülmüştür. Salgınlara yönelik hemşirelik öğrencilerinin hazır bulunuşluğu önemlidir. Hemşirelik öğrencileri için gerekli psikodestek ve gerekli eğitimin sağlanması hemşirelik mesleği adına önemli olacaktır.

The Effect of the COVID-19 Pandemic on Nursing Students' Concerns and Attitudes About the Nursing Profession

Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the effect of the Covid-19 pandemic on nursing students' attitudes towards the nursing profession. The study, with a descriptive research design, was conducted on 368 nursing students studying in the nursing department between June 2020 and September 2020 and participating in the research on a voluntary basis in an interactive environment. Data were collected online with students via a survey form consisting of questions about demographic characteristics and an attitude scale towards the nursing profession. As a result of the data obtained, the attitude of nursing students towards the nursing profession is positive. At the same time, it was observed that the positive attitudes of the students towards the nursing profession increased, who thought that nurses worked devotedly during the Covid-19 pandemic, stated that the nursing education received had an impact on epidemic awareness, and could not regret their decision to choose a profession due to the epidemic. It is important that nursing students are prepared for epidemics. Providing the necessary psychosupport and necessary education for nursing students will be important for the nursing profession.
