Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate the correlation between the students’ foreign language anxiety levels and their achievement in speaking courses It starts with a discussion on the causes and effects of anxiety and then presents the study carried out with the participation of the freshman students studying at the Department of English Language Teaching EL T Faculty of Education Dicle University The results indicate that there is a significant relatianship between anxiety and the students’ achievement in the speaking course
