Author Guidelines

Languages: Atria Journal publishes articles in both English and Turkish.

Submission & Review Process:
The peer review and publication process is managed through https://dergipark.org.tr/tr/.

Format Compliance: Manuscripts submitted to Bau Cyprus Atria must comply with the submission guidelines and be formatted according to the template provided on the website. Submissions that do not adhere to these guidelines will be returned to the authors without review.

Word Count: Articles must contain a minimum of 5,000 words and must not exceed 8,000 words, including references, tables, images, captions, and subheadings. Book reviews submitted for publication must not exceed 1,500 words, including all visual materials.

File Format & Structure: Manuscripts must be submitted in .doc or .docx format and structured in the following order: Title, Abstract, Keywords, Main Text, and References. If acknowledgments or special notes are to be included, they must appear before the references section at the end of the manuscript.

Title: The title should clearly reflect the content of the paper and avoid unnecessary length. It must not exceed 12 words, with each major word capitalized.

Title Page: The title page must include the full names of all authors, their affiliations (department, faculty, university, city, and country), email addresses, and ORCID IDs.

Abstract: The abstract should be between 250–300 words. For manuscripts written in Turkish, an English abstract is required. The abstract should address the purpose and scope of the study, methodology, approach, findings, and conclusions.

Extended Abstract: To increase accessibility to a wider audience, Turkish manuscripts must include an Extended Abstract in English, between 750–1000 words, covering the study’s purpose, methodology, findings, and conclusions. Where relevant, visual elements such as charts or diagrams may be included.

Keywords: A minimum of 3 and a maximum of 5 carefully selected keywords must be provided to facilitate classification. Keywords should be listed in order of importance, written in Arial, 11 pt, with only the labels “Keywords” and “Anahtar Kelimeler” in bold.

Main Text: The full text of the article must be between 5,000 and 8,000 words, including references. All tables, charts, maps, and images must be properly cited and embedded within the main text. Survey questions, consent forms, archival materials, drawings, and maps cited in the text must also be listed in the references.
