Aim & Scope

The Journal of Contemporary Local Governments is a double-blind peer-reviewed academic journal that publishes original scientific studies in the fields of local governments, urban affairs, and environment. The journal's main objective is to contribute to academic and scientific knowledge production by publishing works of national and international scientific merit in these fields.

The Journal of Contemporary Local Governments (JCLG) accepts original articles that engage in historical, theoretical, contemporary, and comparative discussions related to the following topics:
Urban areas (or the City)
Urbanization
Urban Politics
Urban Governance/Administration
Urban Problems
Local Governments
Local Government Finance
Local Politics
Municipal Services
Environmental Policies
Environmental Problems

Note: Even if submissions relate to the aforementioned topics, they will be returned if they do not comply with the journal's publication policy.
