Abstract

İzmirli believed that theology (Kalâm)should be renovated.lt can be argued that his new theological view had an eclectic nature. For, the salafi and the theological methods and solutions had a significant role in the new theological conception of Izmirli.For instance, he used together the salafi and the theological methods in the proof of God’s existence and understanding of anthropomorphic attributes of God. According to him,the salafi method is the Qur’anic method.Indeed, for us, the salafi method is not identical with the Quranic method.Qur’anic method is similar with semantic method.Likewise, it is necessary to differentiate between the salafi and the theological methods find semantic method
