Ghazali is one of the most important scholars in both philosophical and theological field in the Islamic world and he abo influenced to his many successors in the later centuries. His views on the spirit (ruh) is closely related to his understanding of the universe and man. His opinion on the spirit differs from many Muslim theologians and predecessors. He considers the spirit undivided and immortal abstract essence/substance. Although he proclaims Muslim philosophers infidel for their some views, he closely follows them in their evaluation of the spirit, namely it is undivided, abstract and immortal essence. Clearly, his eclectic approach to materials is abo seen in his analysis of the nature of spirit. It is safe to say that his eclectic approach to the nature of spirit influenced later scholars too
lamlarda zikredilmiştir. Kur’an-ı Kerîm’de “Cebrail”8 , “Vahiy ve Kur’ân”9 , Hz. Adem’e “ruh ilşenmesi”10 , Hz. İsa’nm yaratılmasını ifade sadedinde “ruh üflen- mesi”11 ve “müminlere rahmet ve ilahî destek”12 anlamlarında küllanılmıştır
