The purpose of this study is to determine how individuals define the concepts of knowing/ knowledge and believing/belief. Another purpose was to explore the subjects understanding of presented knowledge or belief self discovered knowledge or belief For this reason, we carried out two pilot studies. In the first study, obtaining 116 participants’ ideas about the above concepts, a question naira was developed. In the light of the first pilot study’s outcomes, another four dimensional question naire was developed in the second pilot study. We administered this question naire and the Submissive Acts Scale (SAS) to 161 individuals. A significant difference was found between the highly submissive group and non-submissive group in terms of their attitudes towards these four concepts.
