Abstract
Qadi Abd al-Jabbar’s understanding of proposal has been studied by an appeal to the definition of the term itself The main concepts which Qadi Abd al-Jabbar offered as the main constituents of proposal has been taken into account one by one. Qadi Abd al-Jabbar identified proposal as coming from two different sources, namely from reason and divine revelation. Seeing the reason based proposal under the ability of human being, this understanding has brought about a significant expansion to the realm of religious thinking
