Abstract
Ahmad Beraniq is an important linguist who formulated some ideas on facilitating the syntax and put these ideas into practice with his work called en-Nahwu’l-Manhaji. In his works, Beraniq divided those who learn syntax into two categories: Those who specialize in syntax and those who learn only to avoid some mistakes when using their language. Referring to the period when syntax rules were established, Beraniq states that the rules were actually created for the second category. Therefore, Beraniq argues that the rules need to be simplified for the learners in this second category. However, he does not suggest eliminating classical syntax rules completely and creating a new grammar. In his abovementioned work, Beraniq discusses syntax topics by establishing general rules free from conflicts caused by the theory of factors for those who learn syntax to avoid misusing the language and tries to help students to learn this science more easily.
