In the personality formation of a human who is a social creature, the environment where he lives has a great importance. Qâdî Sanâullah Pânipetî called “Bayhaqi of the day” and Tahawi of the day” by his contemporaries was raised in an intellectual family. Pânipat city, Qâdî Sanâullah was born, is a wellknown historical settlement where three battles having effect in the history of India occured, awliyas (saints), scholars and conquerors passed through. Qâdî Sanâullah was educated in the Madrasa of Rahîmiyye where Shah Abdurrahim, father of Shah Waliyyullah Dihlawi, has built and played very important role in intellectual, ethical and religious education and outlook on life of the Indian Muslims, and he has written different studies in many fields such as exegesis (tafsir), hadis, fıqh, tasawwuf (sufism). In this article, mentioning about the period Qâdî Sanâullah lived, we would like to give information about life, intellectual personality, lecturers and studies of Qâdî Senâullah. Thus, we try to contribute to the introduction of one of the Indian sub-continent exegetes we do not enough knowledge about.
