Abstract

Sakarya province of Turkey has an important role in fruit production. According to data from the year 2010, Sakarya fruit growing area is 802,454 da. In the production of fruits, hazelnut is the first place. According to the amount of production, quince, apple, grape, cherry, peach, pear, plum and other fruits will follow it as respectively. Sakarya districts can be evaluated in three categories in terms of fruit production. Districts with the Black Sea ecology, mainly hazelnuts are grown. The surrounding districts of Sapanca Lake; plum, pear, walnut, apple, cherry and other temperate climate fruit sare produced. In the districts in the south of the Sakarya province; apple, quince, grape, sweet cherry, peach, strawberry, sour cherry and other fruits are produced
