The DEU Journal of European Studies is a peer-reviewed academic journal published under the auspices of Dokuz Eylul University, focusing on European Union and European studies. The journal aims to publish original scholarly research that examines European integration and Europe’s political, economic, legal, and social transformation from an interdisciplinary perspective.
The journal covers a broad range of topics, including the institutional structure of the European Union, EU policy areas, governance mechanisms, and external relations, as well as democracy, the rule of law, human rights, economic and social policies, green transition, digitalisation, migration, security, and foreign policy. In this context, EU–Türkiye relations, the enlargement process, and neighbourhood policies constitute key areas of interest.
The DEU Journal of European Studies encourages academic contributions from various disciplines, such as political science, international relations, economics, law, public administration, sociology, and history, with the aim of fostering scholarly debate at both national and international levels. By adhering to principles of academic integrity, transparency, and a double-blind peer review process, the journal seeks to contribute to the production and dissemination of high-quality academic knowledge in the field of European studies.
The DEU Journal of European Studies is a peer-reviewed academic journal published under the auspices of Dokuz Eylul University. All manuscripts are evaluated through a double-blind peer review process. The journal follows an open access publishing model and does not charge any submission or publication fees.
