Abstract

Amaç: Behçet hastalığı, immun kompleksler ve vaskulit bulguları belirlenen, multisistemik kronik inflamatif bir hastalıktır. Son yapılan çalışmalar patogenezdemikrobial antijenler, T hücre aktivasyonu, monosit ve makrofajlar ile artmış sitokinüretimininin olası rolünü işaret etmektedir. Bazı sitokinlerin nitrik oksid sentezineneden olabildiği ve nitrik oksidin inflamatif hastalıklardaki önemli rolü bilinmektedir.Bu çalışmanın amacı nitrik oksidin (NO) Behçet hastalığı patogenezinde rolü olupolmadığını saptamaktı.Gereç ve yöntem: Nitrik oksid parçalanma ürünleri olan nitrit (NO2) ve nitrat(NO3) plazma düzeyleri 42 simptomlu Behçet hastası, 29 simptomsuz Behçethastası ve 60 sağlıklı kontrolden alınan örneklerde araştırıldı.Bulgular: Simptomlu hastalardan alınan plazma örneklerinde nitrat ve nitratıntoplam düzeyleri, simptomsuz hastalarla ve kontrol grubu ile karşılaştırıldığındaistatistiksel olarak anlamlı derecede yükseklik gösterdi (p
