Abstract
From the past to the present, researchers have aimed to develop new methods for the adhesion of restorative materials to the tooth. With
the increasing importance given to aesthetics, the concept of extension for preventation has turned into minimally invasive dentistry with the
advances in adhesive dentistry. For the success of restorations, dentists should follow the developments in adhesive systems and choose appropriate materials. These systems create the bonding between dental hard tissues and restorative material by forming a hybrid layer. In recent
years, methods such as MMP inhibitors, antibacterial agents, wet bonding and remineralization of the hybrid layer have been developed in
order to prevent the degradation of the hybrid layer and stabilize the collagen matrix. This review includes the historical development of adhesive systems from past to present and classification according to clinical application stages.

Abstract
Geçmişten günümüze kadar araştırmacılar restoratif materyallerin dişe adezyonu konusunda yeni yöntemler geliştirmeyi amaçlamışlardır. Adeziv diş hekimliğindeki gelişmelerle birlikte, estetiğe verilen önemin giderek artması korumak için genişletmek kavramının, yerini minimal invaziv
diş hekimliğine bırakmasını sağlamıştır. Restorasyonların başarısı için, diş hekimlerinin adeziv sistemlerdeki gelişmeleri takip etmeleri ve uygun
materyalleri tercih etmeleri gerekmektedir. Bu sistemler diş sert dokuları ile restoratif materyal arasında hibrit tabaka oluşturarak bağlanmayı
gerçekleştirmektedir. Son yıllarda, hibrit tabakanın bozulmasını engellemek ve kollajen matriksi stabilize etmek amacıyla MMP inhibitörleri,
antibakteriyel ajanlar, wet bonding ve hibrit tabakanın remineralizasyonu gibi yöntemler geliştirilmiştir. Bu derleme; adeziv sistemlerin geçmişten günümüze kadar tarihsel gelişimi ve klinik uygulama aşamalarına göre sınıflandırılmasını içermektedir
