Digital Media, Digital Security, and the Human-Centered Transformation Paradigm: From Early Childhood to Public Health

Digital transformation has become a defining force shaping contemporary education, communication, cybersecurity practices, and public health systems. Rather than functioning as isolated domains, digital media and digital security increasingly operate within interconnected ecosystems where ethical responsibility, trust, and resilience are critical determinants of sustainability. This article offers an integrative editorial analysis of four complementary studies that collectively frame digital transformation as a human-centered life cycle, extending from early childhood education to societal-scale public health infrastructures. Drawing on recent research and policy-informed perspectives, the article first examines the ethical and pedagogical implications of artificial intelligence in early childhood education, emphasizing the need for rights-based and developmentally appropriate governance. It then situates social media–supported distance education within broader digital learning ecosystems, highlighting emerging security, privacy, and platform governance challenges. The discussion further explores cybersecurity communication through the lens of Zero Trust, security culture, and organizational resilience, underscoring the socio-technical nature of contemporary cybersecurity. Finally, digital transformation in public health is analyzed as a strategic and systemic process shaped by governance capacity, trust, and cyber resilience. By synthesizing these domains, the article argues that effective digital transformation requires an ecosystem-oriented approach that integrates ethical foresight, security awareness, and human values. Collectively, the contributions in this issue advance a holistic framework for designing secure, inclusive, and resilient digital futures.
