Aim & Scope

DÎVÂN is a bi-annual, international peer-reviewed academic journal devoted to comparative, interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary research in the social sciences and humanities. Founded in 1996, it appeared under the name DÎVÂN: Scientific Studies until 2007. Since then, it has been published as DÎVÂN: Journal of Interdisciplinary Studies. The journal publishes articles that contain original research and innovative perspectives, a selection of current book reviews and research notes in Turkish and English.

All submissions are initially assessed by the Editorial Board. Those deemed suitable then pass to, a panel of referees. Then, the Editorial Board makes the ultimate decision on publication. Manuscripts that fail to be selected for publication will not be returned. The copyright holder of the items published in the journal is the Foundation for Sciences and Arts. With the exception of academic quotations, no parts may be reproduced, redistributed, sold or transmitted in any form and by any means for public usage without a prior permission. Contributors are responsible for ensuring that their submissions adhere to the academic, legal, and linguistic standards of their disciplines.


The articles published in DÎVÂN: Journal of Interdisciplinary Studies are indexed by ULAKBİLİM, Worldwide Political Science Abstracts, Index Islamicus, Ebsco Publishing/MLA International Bibliography and SOBIAD.
