Miniscrews
are skeletal temporal anchoring devices which are widely used in orthodontic
treatment and facilitate the work of orthodontics. These devices must be placed
in the correct anatomical areas with appropriate angle and placement techniques
to be successful during the use. However, problems such as loosening of the
miniscrews and mucosal tissue infection at the site of implantation occur.
Therefore, clinical success indicators of miniscrews are needed. This article
provides information on the factors that influence the success of the miniscrew.
