PRODUCTIVE USAGE OF WOODEN MATERIALS ON THE PRESSED DOOR FRAME

Abstract

This article has a imed to decrease the consumption of wooden materials by means of developing pressed door frame manufacturing methods. In order to fulfil this aim, the research is conductedin thee steps: Initially, the differences between the conventional manufacturing method and the suggested manufacturing method are identified with respect to the amount of required materials. Secondly the annual demand for pressed door frames in Turkey is estimated based on the approximation of annual need for housing. Finally, the amount of forest resources, which could be preserved, is calculated by using the inputs provided by the previous steps. The findings reveal that the implementation of productivity research bears the potential of cost reduction and preservation of forest resources. At the and of this study, in the event of the suggested manufacturing method instead of conventional manufacturing method will economize 10.141 number abies trees (30 cm diameter and 12 m lenhgt)
