THE PREPARATION AND CHARACTERIZATION OF CONDUCTIVE COMPOSITE FILMS OF POLYANILINE AND POLY(VINYL ACETATE)
Abstract
Polyaniline/poly(vinyl acetate (undoped PAn/PVAc) composite films were prepared by doping of films obtained by
casting of the solution of undoped PAn and PVAc in dimethylformamide (DMF). The electrical conductivity of
films was increased up to 60/40 PAn/PVAc ratio and then level off. The change of the conductivity of films with
film thickness and doping time was investigated. The maximum conductivity was obtained by doping of undoped
films in aqueous 2.0 M HCl solution with one hour. Surface morphology of coductive PAn/PVAc composite films
was examined by SEM techinique. The characterization of composite films was also performed by conductivity
measurements, FTIR and TGA techniques.
