Abstract

Bu cahsmada. sigara icenlerin ve pasif icicilerin HDL kolesterol, total kolesterol, trigliserit, total protein ve LDL kolesterol duzeyleri arasunlnusur. Sigara icenlerin kan orneklerindeki total kolesterol ve trigliserit duzeyleri yuksek bulunrnustur (X2 = 13,303, P < 0,001; X2 = 43,636, P < 0,0001). Aynca bu cahsmada sigara icenlerin ve pasif icicilerin total protein, LDL kolesterol ve HDL kolesterol dlizeylerinde onernli bir fark bulunrnarrustrr.

EFFECT OF SMOKING HABIT ON TOTAL BLOOD CHOLESTEROL, PROTEIN AND TRIGLYCERIDE LEVELS

Abstract

Abstract. In this study, the effect of smoking and passive smoking on HDL cholesterol, total cholesterol, triglyceride, total protein and LDL cholesterol was searched. It was determined that total cholesterol and riglyceride levels were higher in the blood samples of smokers (X2 = 13,303, p < 0,001; X2 = 43,636, P < 0,0001, respectively). In this study it was also found that there were no significant differences between total protein, LDL cholesterol and HDL cholesterol level of mokers and passive smokers.
