COLLECTIVE BAND ANALYSIS OF DEFORMED HEAVY ISOTOPIC-Hf NUCLEI
Abstract
In this study, the level density parameters of deformed heavy Hf isotopic ( 176Hf, 177Hf,
178Hf, 179Hf, 180Hf, 181Hf ) nuclei are calculated using energy spectrum of the nuclei in
interest, and the detailed band analysis have been made. The parameters are determined by
taking into account collective structure for different bands of each isotope. The obtained
results have been compared with experimental results. Theoretical calculations prove that
ground state band is dominant for the collective excitation states of the 176Hf, 177Hf, 179Hf
and 180Hf nucleus having positive-parity band. On the other hand, it is determined that beta
and gamma vibrational bands are dominant band for 178Hf and 181Hf nucleus, respectively.
