A STUDY on FEEDING OPPURTINIES of Pseudemys scripta elegans FED WITH Lemna minor L. in AQUARIUM

Year 2006, Issue: 011, 1 - 10, 15.09.2006

Abstract

In this study, the effect of Lemna minor on the lenght, weight and puberty of Pseudemys

scripta elegans was investigated. For this reason, the Lemna samples were collected from

three different parts of Kütahya Province and dried in the laboratuary. The turtles, in first

aquarium were fed with only L. minor (Group I). The second ones were intensively fed

with special feed (Group II) which brought from petshop. The third ones were restrictively

fed with the feed (Group III). The last group was fed with special feed and L. minor at

alternate days (Group IV). By this way, totally 80 turtles were used. As a result it was

determined that, the turtles, fed by L. minor + special feed were heavier that the others.

Pseudemys scripta elegans’IN AKVARYUM ORTAMINDA Lemna minor L. ile BESLEME İMKANLARI ÜZERİNE BİR ARAŞTIRMA

Year 2006, Issue: 011, 1 - 10, 15.09.2006

Abstract

akvaryumdaki kaplumbağalar sadece L. minor (Grup I) ile, ikinci akvaryumdaki
