Born in Turkey. He completed his primary, secondary and high school education in Ankara. In 1997, he was awarded by the then Turkish Minister of Tourism for his contributions to Turkish art and tourism. He graduated from Gazi University, Department of Fine Arts Education in 2005. He completed his master's degree in 2009 and his doctorate in 2011 at the same institution. He has participated in numerous group exhibitions in Turkey and has been accepted to group exhibitions abroad in cities such as Barcelona, New York, Singapore, Isfahan, Baku, Bucharest, Podgorica, and Tbilisi. He has 7 solo exhibitions in Sarajevo, Budapest, Kaposvar, and Tokyo. His art-works have been accepted into the inventory of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey. He received the title of faculty member in 2012 and associate professor in 2020. He has been working at Kütahya Dumlupınar University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Cartoon and Animation since 2005.
Michael Wayne is a Professor in Film and Media Studies at Brunel University. He is an interdisciplinary researcher in film, television, media studies, cultural studies and philosophy, including Marxism. His most recent book was Marxism Goes To The Movies (Routledge 2020). Nancy V Martin is an independent researcher and lecturer at San Francisco State University, where she teaches apparel studio courses, costume history, and cultural aspects of dress. Her work focuses on aesthetics and innovation through the lens of dress as material culture. She received her Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota, College of Design in the Apparel Dress, History, and Culture Track and a Master of Arts in Consumer and Family Studies/Dietetics from San Francisco State University. She has published in Dress: The Journal of the Costume Society of America and the Çankaya University Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Oğuz Arıcı was born in Germany in 1976. He graduated from Istanbul University, Department of Theatre Criticism and Dramaturgy in 2002. He completed his master’s and doctorate education at Istanbul University Institute of Social Sciences, Department of Theater Criticism and Dramaturgy. He worked as a writer, director, and dramaturg in several theatre companies. His book titled “Construction of Fiction: Introduction to Playwriting” was published in 2020. He has been teaching in Istanbul University Department of Theatre Criticism and Dramaturgy since 2013.
Prof. Dr. Nazlı Eda Noyan (Izmir, 1974) earned her BA and MFA degrees in graphic design. Worked as an intern designer in UNICEF, Ghana. She’s the founding head of the Cartoon and Animation Department of Bahçeşehir University, Faculty of Communication. She’s the author and designer of 13 children's books (Nar’s Art Journal Series, Gulcin and Yarns Weaving Life Series) as well as writer and director of animated films such as “The Children of the Other Lands” (Best Animation Film Award, Istanbul Short Film Fest, 2006) and “A Cup of Turkish Coffee” (FR, TR co-production, supported by ARTE and CNC. Best Short Film Awards at 51st Golden Orange FF and 59th Valladolid Meeting Point 2013; mentioned in “New Contexts and Voices” chapter of A New History of Animation written by Maureen Furniss (Thames & Hudson, 2016). She recently finished her experimental animation “A Tender Dream” co-produced with Bagan Films with the participation of France Télévisions & la PROCIREP-ANGOA. She is currently working on her animated feature debut “Sisters’ Tale” as writer and director. Noyan established GIRL SAW THE SEA PRODUCTIONS in 2019 in Istanbul as the forefront of project development, focusing on animation. Noyan has been a jury member at various national and international film festivals. She is a member of SEYAP, the Turkish Film Producer Association, and EWA European Women’s Audiovisual Network. She holds the position of academic director at the Istanbul Cinema Museum working on initiatives such as Future is Cinema and EFEKT VFX Days. She is the founder and director of ANIMIST Istanbul Animation Platform & Festival. She is one of the editors of Büyük Umutlar (Great Expectations) Comic Magazines. Additionally, she leads ANiKA the Women of Animation Association in Turkey. Noyan resides in Istanbul, Turkey with her two daughters and film director husband.
Dr. Gökçe Elif Baykal, Özyeğin Üniversitesi İletişim Tasarımı bölümünde öğretim üyesidir. Araştırmaları, öğrenme teorilerini çocuk-bilgisayar etkileşiminde etkileşim tasarımı uygulamalarına ve yöntemlerine dahil etmeye odaklanmaktadır. Araştırmaları, karma gerçeklik ortamında uzamsal düşünmeyi ve teknoloji aracılı işbirlikçi etkileşimi içerir. Doktora derecesini aldı. Tasarım, Teknoloji ve Toplum Programı'nda 2018 yılında Koç Üniversitesi'nden Lisansüstü Çalışmalar Mükemmellik Ödülü'ne layık görüldü. 2018-2020 yılları arasında Danimarka Aarhus Üniversitesi'nde Bilişim Çalışmaları alanında doktora sonrası araştırmacı olarak çalıştı. Dr. Gökçe Elif Baykal is an assistant professor in the Communication Design department at Özyeğin University in Istanbul, Turkey. Her research focuses on incorporating learning theories into interaction design practices and methods in child-computer interaction. Her research includes spatial thinking in mixed realities and technology-mediated collaborative interaction. She received her Ph.D. in Design, Technology and Society Program with Graduate Studies Excellence Award from Koç University in 2018. She worked as a postdoctoral fellow in Information Studies at Aarhus University, Denmark between 2018-2020. In the past years, she worked as a screenwriter for TRT Çocuk (National Broadcasting Channel for Children in Turkey) television series for children. Her research was awarded by Science Academy's Young Scientists Program (BAGEP) 2022 in the Education/Design category and the Scientific and Technological Research Projects Funding Program by TÜBİTAK in 2024.
Kağan Günçe is Professor of Architecture at Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) in North Cyprus. He is a full-time professor in the Department of Interior Architecture, EMU. He also serves as Vice-Chair of the Institute of Graduate Studies and Research at EMU. He has a Bachelor degree in Architectural Program, a Master (of Science) degree in Architecture Program and Ph.D. in Architectural Theory from EMU, Department of Architecture. He was the director of HERA-C (Housing Education, Research & Advisory Centre) and he was the head of the Interior Architecture Department at EMU. He was a long-time University senator and is currently the elected professor representative senator. His research interests include architectural theory, design, environmental psychology, conservation, housing issues and childhood space. He has also collaborated with researchers in several other disciplines such as role of technology in shaping memory of architectural space / topics in profession and education of interior architecture. He has articles, papers in many national and international journals & conferences, and international research projects in the mentioned fields. Tuğba AYAS ÖNOL recieved her PhD from İ. D. Bilkent University in 2013. She is currently working as an associate professor at Sakarya University, Faculty of Art, Design and Architecture. She teaches graduate and undergraduate level courses in philosophy of art, aesthetics and political ecology.
