DİJİTAL İNSANİ BİLİMLER ARAÇLARI ÜZERİNE BİR DEĞERLENDİRME

Year 2020, Volume: 60 Issue: 1, 390 - 414, 01.01.2020

Abstract

AN EVALUATION ON DIGITAL HUMANITIES TOOLS

Year 2020, Volume: 60 Issue: 1, 390 - 414, 01.01.2020

Abstract

Digital humanities tools include software and applications developed to create, interpret and share resources and collections in the field of digital humanities. Today, digital tools that go beyond simple calculations have the potential to affect research qualitatively. Digital tools, which are an important component of digital human science research, are increasingly being developed and supported in the field of human science to access, interpret, create or communicate with digital resources. Digital tools are among the most expandable assets in the field of digital humanities. If the digital tools are not visible, accessible or understandable by the relevant researchers, their use decreases, which may be result in a more limited structuring or extensibility of the said tools and thus less support the research. In recent years, the rapidly developing interaction between information management and digital humanities has been intriguing about the evaluation of tools in the field of digital humanities. The aim of this research, which is based on the current literature related to subject, is to promote and evaluate the tools frequently used in the field of digital humanities. The study is expected to contribute to practices that require digital humanities and information management stakeholder.
