Congenital Cystic Malformation of The Lung: Case Report

Abstract

Congenital cystic adenomatoid malformation is a rare congenital lung lesion that is associated with abnormal development of terminal bronchus. The prognosis depends on the severeness of patholgy and other anomalies. The primigravid presented on her 25th week with the ultrasound findings of a fetus with multiple cyts in left basal lung. No other abnormalities, fetal hydrops or polyhydramnios was detected. The diagnosis with these findings was then congenital cystic adenomatoid malformation of the lung type 1. The ongoing pregnancy was normal with decrease in the dimensions of lesion by the 32nd week. The lesion was confirmed by computed tomography and barium examination in second month after birth. Congenital cystic adenomatoid malformation can lead to fetal or neonatal demise from hydrops, lung hypoplasia, prematurity or severe associated malformations, but has a good prognosis in the majority of cases

Akciğerin Kistik Adenomatoid Malformasyonu: Olgu Sunumu

Abstract

Konjenital kistik adenomatoid malformasyon terminal respiratuvar yapıların anormal gelişmesi sonucu birbiriyle ilişkili değişik boyuttaki kistlerden oluşan nadir bir anomalidir. Klinik ve embryolojik olarak farklı patolojilerle karışabilen ve cerrahi müdahale gerektirebilen olgulardır. 25 yaşındaki olgumuzda 25. gebelik haftasında yapılan ultrasonografi incelemesinde sol alt lob posterobazal segmentte en büyüğü 17 mm olan multipl kistik lezyon saptandı. Eşlik eden başka patoloji izlenmedi. 32. gebelik haftasında lezyon boyutunda küçülme mevcuttu. Postpartum dönemde diyafragmatik herniyi dışlamak için baryumlu grafi yapıldı ve konjenital kistik adenomatoid malformasyon tanısı teyit edildi. Literatür bilgisi ışığında 1 yaş sonunda cerrahi planlandı
