Gabapentin usage in generalized seizure occurred after stroke: Case report

Abstract

The seizures seen after stroke are usually generallized and easy to control. Though Gabapentin is a choice in add-on therapy of partial epilepsies, it may be a choice for generalized epilepsy problems as this case.It should be known that Gabapentin is an anti-epileptic drug whith less side effects, more efficaccy and as a choice of add-on therapy even drug resistant generalised epilepsies

Inme Sonrasi Gelisen Ilaca Dirençli Jeneralize Nöbetlerde Gabapentin: Olgu sunumu

Abstract

Inme sonrasi nöbetler genellikle jeneralize tipte olup kolay kontrol altina alinirlar. Gabapentin parsiyel nöbetlerde sik kullanilan ekleme tedavi seçenegi olmakla birlikte bizim olgumuzda oldugu gibi jeneralize ve dirençli nöbetlerde bir seçenek olabilir. Bir anti-epileptik ilaç olarak Gabapentin’in güvenli olmasi, yan etkilerinin azligi ve etkinligi ile ilaca dirençli jeneralize epilepsilerde dahi ekleme tedavide bir seçenek olabilecegi hatirlanmalidir.
