Esophageal duplication cyst: Another cause of respiratory distress in children

Abstract

Esophageal duplication cysts are rare congenital anomalies of enteric origin found in children. They are considered to be due to abnormal cannulisation of the gastrointestinal tract. Clinical symptoms depend on the size and the localization of the cysts. Respiatory symptoms are the most frequent symptoms seen in children presenting foregut duplication. Abstract

ofagus duplikasyon kistleri, çocuklarda görülen enterik kaynaklı nadir konjenital anomalilerdendir. Gastrointestinal sistemin anormal kanalizasyonu sonucu oluşurlar. Klinik semptomlar genellikle kistin büyüklüğüne ve lokalizasyonuna bağlıdır. Forgut duplikasyon kistli bulunan çocuklar en sık solunum ile ilgili semptomlarla başvururlar. Bu çalışmada, solunum sıkıntısı bulunan iki forgut kisti olgusu sunulmuştur
