Mandibular Ameloblastoma Which is Seen Young Adult

Abstract

Ameloblastoma is a tumor of odontogenic type, arising from the epithelium with fibrous stroma and enamel organ in different steps of evolution. It is an odontogenic tumor that is located in the jaw region and though it is a benign entity it may be locally invasive. Ameloblastoma represents 1 % of maxillary and mandibulary tumors and 11 % of odontogenic tumors. It is frequent 30-50 years of age. In this study, we present a young patient and review the literature with clinical, radiological, histopathologic findings of ameloblastoma

Genç Yaşta Görülen Mandibular Ameloblastoma

Abstract

Ameloblastom çeşitli gelişim aşamalarındaki enamel organ ve fibröz stromalı epitelden gelişen odontojenik bir neoplazidir. Bu tümör çene bölgesinde görülür, iyi huylu olmasına karşılık lokal yayılım gösterir. Ameloblastom maksilla ve mandibuladaki tümörlerin %1’ini ve odontojenik kaynaklı tümörlerin %11’ini oluşturur. Ortalama 30-50 yaşları arasında sıktır. Bu çalışmada ameloblastomlu genç bir olguyu sunuyor (17 yaş) ve ameloblastomun klinik, radyolojik, histopatolojik bulgularını literatür eşliğinde gözden geçirilmiştir
