Extrapulmonary Tuberculosis

Abstract

Tuberculosis (TB) can involve any organ system in the body. While pulmonary tuberculosis isthe most common presentation, extrapulmonary tuberculosis (EPT) is also an important clinicalproblem. Although pulmonary tuberculosis is common in Turkey, extrapulmonary tuberculosisis rarely seen.Here, three patients with extrapulmonary tuberculosis are presented. The sites of involvementwere thoracal vertebra, nasopharynx and middle ear. The hystopathologic examination of thematerials taken from the vertebra, nasopharynx and middle ear were reported as tuberculosisgranuloma

Akciğer Dışı Organ Tüberkülozu

Abstract

Tüberküloz, vücudun herhangi bir organında görülebilir. En sık akciğer tüberkülozu görülmeklebirlikte, akciğer dışı tüberküloz da önemli bir klinik sorundur. Akciğer tüberkülozu, Türkiye'desık olmasına rağmen, akciğer dışı organ tüberkülozu çok nadir görülür.Burada, ekstrapulmoner tüberküloz tanılı üç hasta sunulmuştur. Tutulum yerleri vertebra,nazofarenks ve orta kulaktır. Vertebra, nazofarenks ve orta kulaktan alınan materyallerinhistopatolojik incelemesi sonucu tüberküloz granülomu olarak rapor edildi
