Amniotic band syndrome in a preterm infant: A case report

Abstract

Amniotic band syndrome is an anomaly characterized by constriction bands, amputation oflimbs, multiple craniofacial, visceral and abdominal wall deffects due to early rupture of theamnion. We report a preterm infant with defects on extremity and pelvis because of amnioticband syndrome. With this case report, we want to discuss possible causes of this syndrome thatetiology cannot be determined exactly

PREMATÜRE YENİDOĞANDA AMNİYOTİK BAND SENDROMU: OLGU SUNUMU

Abstract

Amniyotik band sendromu, amnion zarının erken rüptürü ile başlayan, asimetrik destrüktif fetalsüreçle karakterize bir durum olup basit konstriksiyon halkasından ekstremite, kraniyofasiyalve iç organ defektlerine neden olabilen geniş bir spektrumdur. Bu yazıda pelvis veekstremitelerde amniyotik banda bağlı defektleri olan 28 haftalık bir yenidoğan olgususunulmuştur. Etiyolojisi tam olarak belirlenemeyen bu sendromun olası nedenleri tartışılmıştır
