Meralgia Paresthetica: Case Report in a Policeman

Abstract

Meralgia paresthetica is a symptom complex resulting from entrapment of the lateral femoralcutaneous nevre presenting itself with paresthesia, burning sensation, dysesthesia, numbness,and rarely with pain in the anterolateral thigh. Generally with conservative treatment results aresatisfactory, and surgery is rarely indicated. In this study a case of meralgia paresthetica in a policeman which was treated conservatively ispresented

Abstract

Meraljiya parestetika lateral femoral kutanöz sinirin sıkışması sonucunda klinikte uylukanterolateral kısmında değişen şiddette yanma, karıncalanma, hissizlik, keçeleşme gibi sensoryelşikayetlerle ve nadiren ağrı ile kendini gösteren semptomlar kompleksidir. Genellikle konservatiftedavi ile başarılı sonuçlar alınmakta, nadiren de cerrahi tedavi uygulanmaktadır. Bu makale ile bir polis memurunda konservatif olarak tedavi edilen bir meraljiya parestetikaolgusu sunulmuştur
