Effect of cotton cultivars on some biological parameters of Aphis gossypii Glover Hemiptera: Aphididae

Abstract

In this study, some biological parameters of Aphis gossypii Glover Hemiptera: Aphididae on Beyaz Altın 119, May 468, Monsanto 499 and Bayer Candia cotton cultivars were evaulated. The total developmental time of A. gossypii was the highest 7.1 d on May 468 and it was the lowest 5.9 d on Beyaz Altın 119 under laboratory conditions 25 ± 1 °C, 65 ± 5 % Relativily humidity, 16:8 L:D . The highest net reproductive rate Ro was also observed 50.17 offspring/aphid/generation on Beyaz Altın 119 cultivar. The intrinsic rate of increase rm was the highest on Beyaz Altın 119 with 0.347 offspring/aphid/generation and the lowest on Monsanto 499 with 0.260 offspring/aphid/generation

Aphis gossypii Glover Hemiptera: Aphididae ’nin bazı biyolojik parametrelerine pamuk çeşitlerinin etkisi

Abstract

Bu çalışmada, Beyaz Altın 119, May 468, Monsanto 499, Bayer Candia pamuk çeşitleri üzerinde Aphis gossypii Glover Hemiptera: Aphididae ’nin bazı biyolojik parametreleri araştırılmıştır. Aphis gossypii laboratuvarda 25 ± 1 °C sıcaklık, % 65 ± 5 orantılı nem ve 16:8 saat uzun gün aydınlatmalı koşullarda ergin öncesi toplam gelişme süresini en uzun 7.1 günde May 468 çeşidi üzerinde, en kısa ise 5.9 gün ile Beyaz Altın 119 çeşidi üzerinde tamamlamıştır. A. gossypii’nin net üreme gücü Ro , en yüksek Beyaz Altın 119 çeşidinde 50.17 yavru/afit/döl olarak tespit edilmiştir. Kalıtsal üreme yeteneği rm değeri en yüksek Beyaz Altın 119 çeşidinde 0.347 yavru/afit/döl olarak bulunmuş olup, en düşük ise Monsanto 499 çeşidinde 0.260 yavru/afit/döl olarak saptanmıştır
