Kırkpınar oil wrestling festival, held in Edirne, Turkey, has been held for 661 years. This traditional and magnificent organization was included in UNESCO's 'Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity' in 2010. When we look at the field studies, it is described that many sources of oil wrestling have continued from the time of the Ottoman Empire to this day and that wrestling was done in lodges and palaces. Keeping the Kırkpınar oil wrestling tradition alive for many years means protecting a cultural heritage, and the economic aspect of this great organization is also very important apart from its cultural dimensions. Kırkpınar oil wrestling also includes economic conditions such as providing employment for the wrestlers participating in their competitions from different regions of the country to stay during the competitions and the wages and awards of the wrestlers. In this compilation study, which was planned using the traditional compilation model, the published scientific literature on the subject was scanned, and information about Kırkpınar oil wrestling, wrestler, golden belt and ağalık was given, an evaluation was made by giving information about the awards.
