Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı, koronal sızıntının önlenmesinde üç değişik geçici restorasyon materyalinin bakteriyel penetrasyon metodu kullanılaraketkilerinin incelenmesidir. Bu çalışmada, 40 adet tek köklü maksiller lateral diş kullanılmıştır. Obtüre edilen kök kanallarırastgele olarak seçilen onar dişten üç grubaayrılmıştır. Geriye kalan on dişten beşi pozitif kontrol grubunu oluştururken, geri kalan beş tanesi denegatif kontrol grubunu oluşturmuştur.

In Vitro Examination of Effects of Various Temporary Restorative Materials in Prevention of Coronal Microleakage

Year 2008, Volume: 35 Issue: 2 - Volume: 35 Issue: 2, 47 - 51, 01.05.2008

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine effectsof three different temporary restorative materialson prevention of coronal leakage, using the methodof bacterial penetration. In the study, forty single rooted maxillary lateral teeth were used. The obturated root canals weredivided into three groups that include ten teethchoosen randomly. Five of the remaining ten teethwere classified as the positive control group, whereas the other five composed the negative controlgroup. Coronal parts of the teeth that were included in the experimentel group were restorated, using Ionofill Voco, Germany , Cooltemp Coltene/ Whaledent, Switzerland and SystempInlay Ivoclar Vivadent, Germany . Whereas theones in the positive control group the access cavitieswere left unsealed, those in the negative controlgroup were sealed either Ionofill, Cooltemp andSystemp Inlay. Each tooth was immersed in culture mediumin the model system and five teeth were inoculatedwith S. Aeurus, whereas the other five were inoculated with P. Aeruginosa at certain periods. Periodsof samples with a color change in the culture mediawere recorded. The data obtained were analysed statistically, using a Chi-square and Mann-Whitney U test.Coronal penetration was observed in all groups, however. There were no statistically significant differences between the groups
